Spring is exploding on the Land Trust hills that encircle our valley. Homestead natives (and Land Trust Board members) Marilyn Barrett and Marabeth Grahame will lead flower-laden walks on Saturday, April 2. Meet at Volunteer Park (on Melrose opposite Marin Horizon School), 10:00. Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt are recommended (to protect against poison oak!), wear a hat, bring water and, if you like, a camera and wildflower guide book. All ages are welcome, but you will be hiking on our trails and should gauge the staying-power of your group members. Exact route is TBD, based on what’s in bloom on April 2; carpooling to the trailhead may be involved. You can preview what you may be seeing by going to the Land Trust website: http://www.hvlt.org/wildflowers
